The 2025 motorcycle season officially started on March 2nd – and what makes this season truly special is that it still hasn’t ended.
Today is December 6th, Finland’s Independence Day, and in celebration, I rolled the GTR out of the garage and set off to visit local war memorials and cemeteries honoring fallen heroes.

My route included several meaningful stops:
I first visited the independence assembly memorial plaque in Ylistaro, located near the local war heroes’ cemetery. After a moment of reflection there, I continued to the Soldier’s Museum in Isokyrö, and finally stopped at the Napue Battle Memorial – a location filled with history and significance.
Riding in early March might not be for everyone, and continuing well into December is even more unusual – but this season has been nothing short of incredible. From early spring rides to long summer journeys and now a December tribute ride, this year has pushed the limits of what a motorcycle season can be.
What lies ahead?
Probably colder days, and yes… the bike definitely needs a wash. But for now, I’m just grateful for another ride, another moment on two wheels – and for the freedom to enjoy it all in my own way.
